Ninja Creami Pina Colada Protein Ice Cream ingredients: fairlife milk, ripe banana, banana cream protein powder and frozen pineapple.

Ingredients

  • Milk – I used 2% Fairlife milk, which is one of my favorites. It’s ultra-filtered, so it’s higher in protein and lower in sugar compared to regular milk. Plus, it’s packed with calcium and vitamin D, making it a great choice for a creamy, guilt-free treat. It works perfectly in this ice cream, giving it a smooth, rich texture without overloading calories.
  • Frozen pineapple – I used frozen pineapple tidbits for this recipe, and they’re a game-changer. Their natural sweetness and tropical flavor blend perfectly with the banana and protein powder to create that classic pina colada vibe. Freezing them ahead of time is key—it helps achieve that creamy, scoopable texture in the Ninja Creami.
Plus, they’re super convenient and save you from cutting up a whole pineapple!
  • Protein Powder – I used Clean Simple Eats Coconut Cream Protein Powder in this recipe, and it’s the perfect addition. Not only does it boost the protein content, but it also enhances the flavor with its smooth, creamy coconut taste. It pairs wonderfully with the pineapple and banana, giving this ice cream a tropical, indulgent twist while keeping it packed with nutrients. Plus, it mixes smoothly, so there’s no chalky texture—just rich, creamy goodness!
  • Banana– The banana in this recipe does more than just add flavor—it’s the secret to that creamy, luscious texture. A medium-ripe banana brings natural sweetness and pairs perfectly with the pineapple and banana cream protein powder for that tropical vibe.

The banana in this recipe does more than just add flavor—it’s a nutritional powerhouse. Rich in potassium, bananas help support heart health and maintain proper muscle function. They’re also a good source of fiber, which aids digestion and helps keep you feeling full longer. Plus, bananas provide a natural sweetness, which means you can cut down on added sugars while still enjoying a creamy, delicious ice cream. It’s the perfect way to sneak in some health benefits while indulging in a tropical treat!

Tools Needed

  • Ninja Blender – I use the personal-sized smoothie blender because it’s the perfect size to blend the ingredients for this recipe.
  • Ninja Creami ice cream maker – I use the original Ninja Creami for this recipe.
  • Ninja Creami Pints – I opted for these pints because they were about half the price as the ones being sold by Ninja Creami, but be weary if you need them quickly; it took about three weeks to get here.
All ingredients blended together until smooth in consistency.
