So, a few things about this ice cream.
- It’s more of a soft-serve consistency, but don’t let that deter you from making it. It was delicious!
- It doesn’t have the best macros compared to my other recipes, but it’s still way better than eating a pint of store-bought protein ice cream.

Tips & Tricks
Be sure to prepare in advance. This recipe takes 18-24 hours to freeze. I like to plan ahead and make it before the weekend. This is when I always want an extra sweet treat.
Tools to make this recipe
- Ninja Creami ice cream maker – I am in love with this Ninja Creami.
- Ninja Creami Pints – I opted for these pints because they were about half the price, but be weary if you need them quickly; it took about three weeks to get here. They did have some prime options for other pint containers, but I was being thrifty.

How to make Strawberry Ice Cream with your Ninja Creami
- Add the frozen strawberries, milk and maple syrup to a pint container. Stir to mix the maple syrup.
- Place the lid on securely, transfer the pint to the freezer and freeze for at least 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, remove the lid and place the pint into the pint holder. Place the lid with the blade on top and lock it into place.
- Run the Ninja Creami on the lite ice cream function. You will need to respin twice for the best texture.
- Enjoy!

How to store
When freezing the ice cream pint, make sure the lid is on secured and it’s placed in the freezer on a flat surface. The ice cream should last 3 to 6 months in the freezer.
If you don’t eat all of the ice cream in one sitting, make sure to flatten the top of the ice cream, replace the lid and store in the freezer. When you’re ready to eat it again you will need to run it on the ice cream or lit ice cream function for 2 spins.

This is delicious as is for sure. But I used fat free Fairlife (cuz that’s what I had), and sugar free maple syrup (again, what I had). I had very ripe and sweet fresh strawberries and used a little more than a cup. Added 2 tbsp fat free cream cheese cuz I always to for creaminess. Used my immersion blender stick to mix it all up. 😋. 5 stars. I’m going to make this again and also made a cheesecake one and swirl them together somehow….
I’m so glad you loved it!! Please let me know if you figure out how to swirl it together!
Do you not have to let it thaw at all after b wet ing in freezer?
I never thaw any of mine
Do you have to add frozen strawberries or can they be fresh? Just learning how to use this so I don’t understand all the science behind it all yet. Is there a benefit one way or the other? Thank you! Will be trying this for sure because if no gum, artificial sweeteners etc!!
Hi Jody – you can use fresh strawberries. I only had frozen on hand so that’s why I used frozen.
Looking forward to try this, thank you
I hope you love it!
Have you tried with almond milk? For dairy free version?
not yet, but I should!
